An extension of my graduate thesis from my study at California College of the Arts. The story follows a teenager named Terra, who suddenly and tragically loses the love of her life, Stella. Terra must learn to navigate her grief through the language of tarot cards when she finds herself trapped in the magical world contained within the tarot deck Stella left behind. The following brief excerpt is from chapter one; our introduction to Terra and the love that she lost.
